The Pool of Resources available to any Organization that Responds to any calamity is what makes that Organization successful in that effort.  One of the Essential Resources  of those is It’s Volunteers.   Since the Legislature pass the Post Karina Act of 2006 it has become more necessary that our Pool of Volunteers have training in the areas
that they are used in.   We are currently instituting a regimen of training that will assists us in this requirement.  Part of this regimen is Preparation for your Safety and you can get that by doing an on-line or class room course, call “Citizen Emergency Response Team” or CERT, offered by Citizen Corps.  If you are interested in Volunteer training to assist us in any of the following:
Debris Removal and Chain Saw Team(s)
Mud/Muck Out Team(s)
Rebuilding Team(s)
Intake and Referral Team(s)
Kitchen Cook and Assistants Team(s)
Food Distribution Team(s)

2) fulfill the Citizens Corps “CERT” training by going to:
www.citizencorps.gov
under the featured links section click on “CERT IS 317 Training”.
Click “Start taking the course” for online or
Click ‘Find Nearby CERT’s ” to find the nest classroom training closest to you.

Online training is all we require, evidenced with a course completion Certificate provided by Citizen Corps at end of course.

Your information e-mailed to us will be kept for further notification when other trainings are available in your area.  If you are not in our area do not let that stop you we network with a lot of like minded ministries that do training as well.
